Who we are

The Female ADHD Network ("FAN", "we", "us") is run by Clare McAleese, [SOLE TRADER / FEMALE ADHD NETWORK], based in the United Kingdom. We provide ADHD coaching, education, and community resources for women in midlife, including the free MAP Quiz and the Midlife ADHD Reset™ programme.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can contact us at [[email protected]]

What information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details — your name and email address, for example when you take the MAP Quiz, join our email list, or join a waitlist.

  • Quiz responses — your answers to the MAP Quiz, which we use to generate your Midlife ADHD Profile report.

  • Purchase information — if you enrol in a paid programme, your billing details are collected and processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card details.

  • Correspondence — anything you send us by email or through our forms.

Information collected automatically

  • Website usage data — such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

  • Email engagement — whether emails we send are opened or links clicked, which helps us send you more relevant content.

How we use your information

  • To deliver your MAP Quiz results and personalised profile report

  • To send you emails you've signed up for — including your quiz results, helpful content, and information about our programmes

  • To provide and administer paid programmes you enrol in

  • To respond to your enquiries

  • To understand how our website and emails are used, so we can improve them

  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations

Our lawful bases

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Consent — when you opt in to receive emails from us. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

  • Contract — to deliver programmes or services you've purchased.

  • Legitimate interests — to run and improve our business in ways you'd reasonably expect, such as basic analytics.

  • Legal obligation — where we must keep records, for example for tax purposes.

A note on quiz answers: your MAP Quiz responses relate to your experiences and wellbeing, and we treat them with particular care. They are used only to generate your profile report and tailor the content we send you. We never sell your information, and we never share your individual quiz answers with anyone else.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run FAN. They process your data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

  • FEA Create (powered by HighLevel) — our website, email, and quiz platform, which stores your contact details, quiz responses, and email preferences. HighLevel is based in the United States; transfers are safeguarded by approved contractual protections (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

  • Stripe — secure payment processing for paid programmes.

  • Analytics providers — [e.g. Google Analytics / Meta Pixel].

We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep your information

  • Email subscribers — for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we suppress your address so we don't email you again, and remove inactive records periodically.

  • Customers — purchase records are kept for up to 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.

  • Quiz responses — retained while you're on our list so your profile stays linked to your content preferences; deleted when your record is removed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information

  • Ask us to delete your information ("right to erasure")

  • Object to or restrict certain processing

  • Receive your data in a portable format

  • Withdraw consent at any time (for example, by unsubscribing)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [[email protected]] We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we'd welcome the chance to resolve any concern with you first.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to make the site work properly and to understand how it's used. These include:

  • Essential cookies — needed for the site and forms to function.

  • Analytics cookies — help us see which pages are useful.

  • Marketing cookies — [e.g. Meta Pixel for measuring ad performance — DELETE IF NOT USED].

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Children

Our website, quiz, and programmes are designed for adults and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including using reputable platforms with encryption in transit and restricting access to your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page, with the "last updated" date shown at the top.

Your information is treated the way we'd want ours treated — with care.
