about the

Female ADHD Network

Most generic ADHD support wasn't built for women in midlife.

It pushes them towards neurotypical productivity systems, surface-level hacks, and rigid routines — without ever addressing the emotional load, the hormonal shifts, the nervous system exhaustion, or the decades of masking and quietly wondering what’s wrong with you.

Add perimenopause and menopause — and the hormonal shifts that directly affect dopamine regulation which intensify ADHD symptoms — and midlife can feel like everything unravels at once. Understanding this changes everything!

I couldn't find the support I was looking for following my own diagnosis at 52, so I decided to create it myself!

The Female ADHD Network (FAN) helps women in midlife — diagnosed or self-identifying with ADHD — understand their brains, create supportive systems, and reconnect with who they are beyond the roles they’ve played, so they can make confident decisions, use their energy wisely, and finally feel in control of their lives.

here's WHAT CHANGES WHEN YOU HAVE THE SUPPORT THAT'S ACTUALLY BUILT FOR YOUR BRAIN:

  • Finally understand your ADHD brain — not the textbook version, but how it actually shows up for you: in your energy, your emotions, your relationships, and your sense of who you are now

  • Release the shame and self-blame — and replace it with a grounded, compassionate understanding of why life has felt so hard, for so long

  • Build ADHD-friendly systems and routines that actually hold — practical, flexible support that works with your brain, your hormones, and your actual life. Not willpower. Not rigid routines. Real tools that stick, even on hard days

  • Reclaim your midlife — define what you actually want now, set ADHD-friendly goals, and start building your next chapter. Because midlife isn’t the end of possibility. With the right map, it’s where possibility finally begins

  • Find your people — a warm, compassionate community of midlife women with ADHD who understand the masking, the exhaustion, and the quiet wondering if it will ever feel easier. No more apologising. No more pretending

You're not broken!

You've just been navigating without the right MAP!

Hi, I'm Clare

Certified ADHD Life Coach · Ex-Corporate Service Designer · ADHD Awareness Ambassador · Fellow ADHDer, diagnosed in my 50s

I know what it's like to spend decades wondering why everything felt that little bit harder. To be the capable, organised-looking woman who was quietly falling apart. To finally get an answer — and feel both enormous relief and a complicated grief for the years before it. If that resonates — you're in exactly the right place.

WHY I BUILT THIS

After my diagnosis in my 50s, I couldn't find the support I was looking for — warm, evidence-led, and honest about what midlife with ADHD actually looks like. So I decided to create it myself.

I spent the majority of my career in the corporate world designing and improving services — and realised I could transfer those exact skills to build something I'd desperately needed. I blended that with my ADHD life coaching certification, my own lived experience, and everything I've learned from coaching women with ADHD across the globe.

Along the way I was invited to represent all UK employees with ADHD on a Corporate Diversity & Inclusion agenda — and later became one of 10 ambassadors on a national UK campaign raising awareness of ADHD in women, which led to my story being featured in The iPaper, My Weekly, Liz Earle Wellbeing, and the Yorkshire Post.

CLARE TRIVIA

Yorkshire-based, married, with two adult kids — both of whom also have ADHD (yes, really).

When I'm not coaching, you'll find me doing yoga, walking our dog through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, travelling (Asia is my favourite), or reading with a cup of Yorkshire tea.

I never seem to finish the book though. Classic ADHD — sound familiar? 😄
